BALTIMORE, MD. March 16, 2009 – Prometric, the world's leading provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment services and the administrator of the DSSTTM credit by exam program, today announced that the American Council on Education (ACE) CREDIT has completed its review of 10 recently refreshed DSST exams and expanded its recommendations.
In conducting its latest review of Prometric's 10 refreshed DSST exam titles, the ACE CREDIT has newly approved four of the exams to the Upper Division Baccalaureate degree category in addition to their previous recommendation of Lower Baccalaureate category only. This enhancement now allows students in higher 300 or 400 level college courses to take the Introduction to World Religions, Here's to Your Health, Ethics in America and Criminal Justice exams for three recommended college credits a piece, significantly expanding the pool of students who can leverage these exams for college credit. The ACE CREDIT has recommended for credit all of the 10 refreshed exams for three college credits.
The ACE CREDIT regularly conducts reviews of the DSST exams to ensure the content is accurate, relevant and worthy of the three college credits it recommends for a passing score on any of the exams.
