Prometric and BCS Launch One of a Kind Green IT Exam Worldwide
BALTIMORE, MD, January 7, 2010 – Prometric, a leading global provider of technology-enabled testing and assessment services, today announced that it has been selected by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, to exclusively deliver its brand new Foundation Certificate in Green IT exam worldwide.
The first of its kind, this pioneering qualification is designed to help Information Technology professionals and corporations gain an in-depth understanding of the environmental issues associated with IT, including improving energy efficiencies. The new exam recently launched and is now available exclusively in Prometric's international network of thousands of IT test centers.
The launch of this new exam coincides with implementation of the EU Code of Conduct for Data Centre Operators, launched last November, which aims to provide an independent, effective and trusted standard to help data centre operators and owners reduce energy consumption and the related environmental impact of carbon emissions through the adoption of best practices.
